I believe I saw a project somewhere to use multiple hard drives as
tapes. Some sort of autochanger idea, but applied to hard drives.
I have an external chassis on my storage server in which I mount four
alternate ZFS zpools of removable drives in rotation, stored offline
when not in use. That seems to be working fine.
