The Baha'i Studies Listserv Hi all, Also, I think access to education is more than go to school because the world is already in the information society. This makes a shift in the paradigm of alphabetization, nowdays alphabetization is not only to know to read or speak but also to have information skills: to use information technologies and to know how to consume information.
Finland, for example, considers internet access as a legal right providing broadband for every house nearer (2km) the connections of the internet provider. The Government believes that this constitute a human right (thrid generation of human rights). I suppose in the future the universities will make the life easier, today students get into debt for life in order to pay a degree (bachelor). The basic school is insufficient to fight in life.
