Hi All, Decided to finally bestow rest and peace to my old warhorse- my beloved P150. The last engine cease was the final reminder for me to stop torturing it any further. 1,70,000 kms in the running is an adequate testimonial to its reliability and service. A replacement had to come soon- had plans for the new P220F DTSi, but situation not permitting as such. So one fine day decided to go in for a well maintained used ZMA and struck the deal the very next day! So here come's my new steed and a few statistics about it:
*2005 Jet Black HH ZMA *60,000 kms done- seems a lot of running. But its been only used for commuting- Ghodbunder to Andheri via Thane. No doubt this much of distance done. *Engine is a gem and thankfully the plastics are still intact and non-rattling ;) *The owner is a senior-aged person and has hardly gone above 60kph. Treated the bike like his kid. *No crashes- touchwood, just a slip from the centre stand and a very small dent in the fairing (towards tankside) to remind of the incident. *Periodical services and parts replacements have been done very religously and handled only by Kevin of Fort Point till date. *Not even a penny needs to be spent except seat modification to my liking. *Asked doc to confirm with Kevin and he gave an excellent feedback on the bike and recommended for a buy. *Even before that a small test ride was enough for me to fall in love with the bike. So finally I have a decent bike which I dont need to redline or downshift every now and then to get the kick going around on twisties or chasing the rest of the gang ;) Can cruise at 100 all day long without getting the fatigue tinging in my body. I wish it turns out as reliable as my faithful P150. A HUUUUGE thanks to Sanket, Alkesh and Parimal without whom this bike wouldn't have seen my face or rather vice versa ;) Looking forward to many many rides on my new acquisition! Regards, Deepak
