Hi Pugs,

Update on my 4 years old Pulsar. Last Friday took my bike to my native place
& on the way bike stopped all of a sudden & refused to accelerate. It came
to a complete halt & engine was no more alive. Switched off the Ignition key
& turned ON. Pushed the stater button & the engine was alive but rough.
Maintained speeds around 80kmph & reached home. Gave it for service locally
& the clutch plates were found to be fried. Only 250 ml of Oil was found.
Crank shaft, magneto & bore were suspected. Since it has 5 years of engine
warranty I asked them to change the clutch plates & oil alone. Changed the
clutch cable, air filter element & spark plugs too. Took it to Jai Autos,
Adyar, Chennai on Monday & they inpected the bike & asked me not to worry &
everything will be covered under warranty. Gave it to them on Tuesday & it
was expected to be delivered on Wednesday. Due to a valid reason it got
delayed & today I went there by morning. They've changed the bore &
piston. 3 brand new steel plates were found to be bent & they changed them
too. Also the tensioner was changed. By evening bike was delivered to me.
Total bill came to Rs.508 & the bike is back to form. Engine is smooth &
normal. I'm sure if I check the oil level frequently I can expect even more
life from this new bore piston set.

Should I re-do running-in now due to new bore & piston...
