mollet well T158N R93W section 20 our mineral rights are in the spacing unit for this well. i had some difficulty getting in touch with the right people at petrohunt/hess. but waterbug gave me a phone # and i was referred to the right person (FINALLY) and the problems are ironing out.
the problem was a "cloudy title" that wasn't really very cloudy. somehow hess got the sale of the surface rights mixed up with the inheritance of the mineral rights. i think this is all straightened out now (but i can't guarantee it yet). i told hess that the paperwork does not support this idea and talked to them about specific dates and title transfers. i explained to them why the title had transferred for each time. i think it became much less mysterious to them. they asked me for an email giving the dates and actions and i sent it last week. the hess legal representative is referring this matter back to their hess title people for another opinion. the well came off the confidential list 9/27. there is a hearing 10/22 about soemthing (lol, the heading doesn't give a clue) and the north dakota department of mineral rights can't give me a copy of the tentative order (because it's not permanent) and so i asked them how can i object or evaluate this if i can't see what the order is. so someone at the dmr is gonna call me back, probably tomorrow. hess' legal representative told me that the well had not been frac'd - no treatments yet. hess says the royalty $ will be paid out soon. i expect we will get $ next month. re: our family's process. sept, 2005 lease was signed january, 2008 hess had a spacing hearing for the well that they planned to drill february, 2008 hess applied for a drilling permit march, 2008 hess started drilling the well may, 2008 the well went into production june, 2008 we found out the legal description of the property (because our copy was lost) july, 2008 we found that a well had been drilled 3/28/2008 from the internet july, 2008-august, 2008 there was a pooling hearing, order still not permanent and not signed august, 2008 we put the mineral rights in a trust (the attorney took about 6 weeks to do this) august, 2008 we found a local attorney/cpa familiar with trusts for our annual paperwork august, 2008 we found that there is a seismic study called the big bakken listed on the dmr website starting 9/1/2008 that includes the sections that have our mineral rights. october, 2008 there is another hearing and i am finally receiving the paperwork from the dmr. i think this is the final hearing to make the pooling order permanent. there might be another hearing 10/22 that includes the section 18, so i have to listen to two hearings that day. we do have mineral rights in section 18, contiguous to our mineral rights in section 19. and the hess legal representative says that he expects that there will be drilling in the sections above, maybe even soon. i noticed that the enget lake spacing units appear to have been set aside and i think there is a well planned/permitted for the sections 15 and 16. suzanne hamlet shatto On Oct 20, 2:47 pm, go-devil <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Some of you must have a well by now. > Out of the almost 400 members, I've only seen about 100+ members > posting. > You would think more people would share their experiences about the > whole process they went thru > from leasing to getting the first royality check. > Anyone? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Bakken Shale Discussion" group.
