Can you please tell me what the two numbers are referring to in the following statement on a mineral deed:
"undivided 70/160 mineral acre interest In and to…." My understanding is that the first number is the net acres, but I don’t understand what the second number is. I’ve read that the net acres and the size of the spacing unit are what matters when figuring royalties. Who decides what the spacing unit size is, and when is this decided?
