Hey rufus. yes im sure theres lots of us out hear. and we r
soaking it up. thanks again to all. these larger spacing units concern
me. after we made our deal (with a 640 spacing claws in the lease)
they, the oil cos involved, found a way around it and still made it a
1280 and cut our royaltys in half. we found about it too late to find
an atty to come with to the ND state ind commission hearing to help us
defend ourselves. there was only 1 other mineral acre owner in our
proposed 1280 spacing at the hearing. its tough for a regular joe to
just show up at something like that and have any idea what we're
doing. anyway, moving forward. on the up side, an oil co exec showed
me a proposal map for a second well and offered some confidential info
from a neighboring well that had just ip'd very nicely the week b4. we
are happy with the results of our first well and will be back to our
original royalty after #2 gets drilled. i am handling a nice # of
acres in mountrail that havent been signed yet and am still honestly
concerned about skulldugery! i need to learn more about these larger
spacings. one ?. are there, and if so , how many wells are in these
spacings when they go to the 2560 and does it effect royalty formulas.
