Frost in the ground doesn't stop anything.  I know contractors used to
have somebody babysit the scrapers and dozers left running overnight
when it was thirty below, so it wouldn't take until noon to get the
diesels started the next morning.  Of course, if it was a "rush"
location, the machines would be running around the clock, so no
babysitter was necessary in that situation.
