There is no active rig on this site on the active drilling rigs list. Generally the active drilling rigs list is quite current and the well is no longer on this list once the main rig goes off, even if the completion rig is on site or fracing is underway.
Those DRL status listings on that page are often out of date. Generally I think they try to list as DRL until fracing is complete, but even maybe until the driller informs the dmr that the status is "plugged or producing". Some drillers appear to be more willing than others to keep the dmr informed on status of plugged or producing for the daily activity report. If you see a plugged or producing status you pretty wellknow the well went into production unless you hear that concrete has been poured into the hole and there is no longer any activity on the site. We have had so few truly plugged wells in the Bakken that plugged or producing perhaps 99 % of the time means producing. The only wells I can think of that were exceptions were one Edwards well and was it Grubb or Shorty and an EOG Oakland TWP well. Andes 12 never went into production in Fertile, but rumor has it that was technically messed up and that section will be redrilled. Weird place, that Mountrail Bakken, where nearly every hole sunk in the ground is an economic producer, Sometimes I think we have a tendency to forget how really weird and wonderful this little spot on earth is, or somehow start to act as if this is how oil drilling goes anywhere a driller drills and Mountrail county is somehow just a "normal" place for oil drillers.
