*Microsoft Didenda 9 Juta Euro*
Berlin (ANTARA News) - Pengawas utama persaingan usaha di Jerman, Federal Cartel Office, Rabu, mendenda perusahaan AS Microsoft sebesar 9 juta euro (sekitar 11,9 juta dolar AS) karena berkolusi dengan pengecer guna menetapkan harga "Office Home and Student 2007". Seperti diberitakan kantor berita Xinhua, kantor pengawas persaingan usaha tersebut menyatakan pemasok diperkenankan berbicara dengan pengecer mengenai harga di Jerman tapi perlu berhati-hati agar tidak melanggar peraturan persaingan usaha. Dalam kasus itu, staf Microsoft dan satu perusahaan terkemuka Jerman bertemu dua kali untuk menetapkan harga, yang telah "melintasi batas", kata pengawas itu. Keduanya juga bekerja sama dalam aksi penyebaran iklan pada musim gugur 2008, yang didanai oleh Microsoft. Microsoft telah menerima denda tersebut guna menghindari proses pengadilan yang berlarut dan menyatakan perusahaan itu sedang mengkaji proses internalnya di Jerman guna menjamin mereka mematuhi peraturan di Jerman pada masa depan.
