Penggunaan ibuprofen jg ada dosisnya, sebesar 5-10 mg/kg/kali mempunyai efektifitas antipiretik yang setara dengan aspirin atau parasetamol. Ibuprofen bisa menyebabkan ulkus lambung, perdarahan, dan perforasi, meskipun komplikasi ini jarang pada anak-anak. Ibuprofen juga tidak direkomendasikan untuk anak demam yang mengalami diare dengan atau tanpa muntah.
