There's a reference to "extended mailto syntax" in that bug, but I don't know if that has a formal definition. I did come across another problem with sending pictures via f-spot: by default, f-spot deletes the temporary files used for the pictures after 30 seconds, so you don't have much time to compose the e-mail. Is there a way to get Balsa to include the files in the message as soon as it's opened? I guess it's always possible to copy the tempfiles to a second set of tempfiles, specific to balsa, but that's not very elegant.
