Balsa has it.
Though I prefer other tools to show unread mail:
1. Currently it's mail-notification. It has a good UI but it's
unsupported and crashes time-to-time. http://www.nongnu.org/mailnotify
2. cairo-dock mail plugin.
3. GKrellm mail plugin.
