Now, I like to send my mails encrypted -- but only some of the people I send
mails to use encryption. Therefore, for most of my mail adresses I have defined
two identities: one from which I send just signed messages, and another where
outgoing mails are encrypted and signed.

Just a side note - you can configure your identity (tab "Security") to always
sign messages. If you use the (recommended) GPG Mime Mode, this will be absolutely
transparent for mail applications which do not know about encryption. IIRC, one
exception is the (broken) M$ Exchange Outlook-style web mailer which complains about a
broken s/mime signature in this case...

And you can tick the option a little more below in the identity settings to
remind you that a message might be encrypted if a public key for every
recipient is available. In this case, a dialogue will be shown when sending
the message. Thus, you can save the hassle dealing with two identities.

The drawback of this method: if someone did not properly set up the public
key's user id's (i.e. you have to manually select a proper public key if
encryption is enforced - this is a new feature of Balsa 2.5.2, btw), of course
the automatic key detection is not possible.

Would it be possible to make the list a bit more obvious? In the identity manager
(Balsa -> Settings -> Identities), all identities have a name. How about using
that name in the dropdown list -- either exclusively, or combined with the current
text?

This would be a nice improvement IMHO!

Thanks,
Albrecht.
