Hi all,
after updating libwebkit2gtk-4.0 to v. 2.22.5
(2.22.5-0ubuntu0.18.04.1), balsa cannot display HTML content any

“web-process-crashed”. Rolling back to version 2.20.1 fixes the
issue.
Does anyone else see this issue? Any idea how I could debug the
underlying webkit stuff – there is no warning or error message…
Thanks,
Albrecht.
Hello Albrecht,
I have had webkit-gtk-2.22.5 (Gentoo naming) installed on 10 January,
and balsa has been running fine, including displaying HTML. I just did
a git pull and rebuilt, and it still seems fine.
As for debugging, I don't know/remember if Ubuntu provides debug
symbols for packages? If not, you could just build your own debug
version of webkit. I don't have a particularly hefty PC, and my last
webkit-gtk compile was about three hours.
Probably of no help - my previous versions were 2.22.5, 2.22.2, 2.20.4,
2.20.3, 2.18.6. (side effect of Gentoo is a good log of all (or most)
installs, including compile time.
