When Obama's early and primary backers are analyzed, it becomes clear that Obama's actions are likely to be extremely constrained by those to whom he owes favors. Therefore, we expect that he will only be able to work for justice -- and therefore peace -- when there is a massive and committed grassroots outcry calling for this. To create such an outcry, it is critical that as much effort as possible be put into informing our communities on the facts about Palestine.
