YAY LORI!!! Could everyone please please please go to http://freedetainees.org/3671 and TAKE the ACTION! I tried to send the actual action but Yahoo rejected it. (shock, surprise)
This is about Binyan Mohammed, he's a 30 year old Ethiopian man who was granted residency in the UK. He was arrested four years ago and was 'extraordinarily rendered' to Morocco where he was tortured horrifically. The torture included the razor cutting of his genitals, and other areas of his body. The articles I have posted describe this in detail. What has happened to him is a travesty! He is now on hunger strike - and his attorneys (Reprieve) are afraid that he's going to die before he's released. His is very emaciated and ill now. It's up to US now to write/fax/phone Obama and ask him to cooperate - ask him for that "change" he talked about during the presidential race! I'm begging here. Please - please take this action and then please forward widely to each and every single one of your contacts! clgnews wrote: > > *US threat to withhold intelligence from Britain over Guantanamo > evidence > <http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,25010986-2703,00.html>* > 05 Feb 2009 The US has threatened to withhold intelligence from > Britain if evidence of the alleged torture of a British resident held > at Guantanamo Bay is made public.
