Dipankar Babu,
I am writing this after a discussion with Atanu on your mail. AFAIK there is no ATM support in Linux ( I cud be wrong). The most likely reason cud be that ATM had already matured into newer technology (as far as MS Windows is concerned). By the time the idea of indic and the like scripts support in Linux came into vogue, even more newer tech. have appeared. And the bulk of the work currently being done is in Unicode and MS/Adobe proposed OTF systems. The current solution to your problem cud be to install a regular TTF bangla font on linux and work with it. The shortcoming wud be jukhtaakhor support. Also keep tuned to this site...maybe we can hv a real solution very soon. Thanks.
