Visited Sripathum University on Wed. March 4th with Surgee, Luke, Mike
Amy and Jirisak.

Khun Janjai showed us the facilities, lots of space, nice facilities--
it has what we need.

Also met Khun Manoo (who used to run SIPA and is now a professor at
SPU). Khun Manoo supports us; in fact, he has attended Barcamp Chiang
Mai and Barcamp Bangkok and really likes the concept. We also have
other supports in the IT faculty who support it too.

Also, SPU is opening an Open Source research facility very soon--so
they are very interested in becoming more involved in the open source
community.

Briefly met the SPU President and she seemed to like the idea but
needs info before she can give a final approval.

The one issue is the stay over. They have some facilties (a Gymnasium
on the top floor of a building and an event hall on the edge of campus
that looks even cooler), but they have to get the head of Security to
sign-off on letting us stay. We hope that happens, but it would mean
an exception to standard policy.

Overall it looks good. We should have an answer from them (and dates
we can pick from) in less than 2 weeks and I would say it's good
probability they will agree.
