A "final" email did go out last week (which I can't get hold of now
because our RAID5 array lost 2 disks at the same time so we've lost
email from the last couple of weeks). Whether that should have been
taken as a final confirmation or not is one point, but it was taken as
such by SPU.

Anyway, I don't see how we can stop sponsors from just doing things
without advising us until they've already done it. If we'd known that
Kapook were going to provide food rather than money for food we'd have
been able to side step this problem, but I don't think Kapook told
anybody until after they'd bough it.

So in any case, this is where we are -- we have two orders for lunch on
both days and to get out of the order at SPU is going to cost us 5,000
baht, which considering what the total cost would have been isn't the
disaster it could have been.
