Hi guys, Last night I went to a charity event (http://www.insearchofsanuk.com/a- taste-of-sri-lanka/), it was simply drinking beer for a good cause :P
Anyway, the venue was awesome. The venue is called "Lub-D Hostel and Bar", it is a boutique hostel, which is pretty new and clean. The bar part is simply their lobby, which is quite spacious (there were ~70 attendees at the charity event, and it didn't felt that crowded). The location is almost prime, just 100m from Decho junction, that's around 10 min from BTS (or 20 min, if Silom's traffic gets crappy) Last night, beer cost around 70 baht per bottle, and 2 for 120, and those are the upped price for charity! They have Singha, Chang, Beer Lao, and Tiger. They also have those iced cocktail drinks like Bacardi Breezer and Smirnoff Ice. Moreover, they have their own retro-like popcorn machine! The place has free wi-fi (3 mbps), and a few laptops for guests to use for free. On a side note, they also have a 'Theater room', which could fit around 15 people in there, equipped with 43" lcdtv. So by a slim chance, we could request to use the room for mini-bar/beercamp session if desired. It could be a bit tricky, since the theater room is in the guest's section.
