There's some question about what I will and will not be doing for BarampBKK4 this year so I'm writing this to make thing clear:
1. I will not be an organizer of this barcamp any further. Won't go into all the details but I have tried to get some fundamental issues resolved and the answers I get back are either fantasies or untenable so I don't think I have any value to add here and don't want to be associated with what I consider to be a disappointment, especially regarding the food. Simply did not have the matched authority for the responsibility. For overnight, this is an area that I have some information that I'm willing to turn over to anyone that wants to take it on. 2. I will continue to sponsor Barcamp and Proteus will be paying its sponsorship as originally committed. 3. I expect to attend Barcamp and have a good time and still continue to encourage everyone else to do the same. 4. I will reconsider my further participation afterwards. I don't feel there's any need or benefit for me to air more concerns at this time so close the the date. Those who have attended the org meetings probably have a pretty good idea of the issues I keep bringing up and how my concerns have been addressed - or not. After this Barcamp I'll be happy to discuss it further with whomever is interested in whatever detail they like. I want this Barcamp to be a success, still believe it will be, and hope everyone has a great time.
