L.S., Just on the last working day for most people I would like to let people know we just pushed out some important new features to both master and bareos-15.2 which we have been working on for the last few years and which has proven to be of our most tough problems we had to crack. From today on the Bareos FD on windows is for once and for all freed of the fact that one can only run one backup at a time on Windows because of a so called single mutex lock. We would like to mention the sponsor of this work which is Thomas Magnete (http://www.thomas-magnete.com/en/) which pushed the work into some usable state on which I started around last years Christmas period but never had time to finish nor test.
Our build systems will be building the experimental packages the next hours and if all goes well it will be published the current night as a Christmas present for everyone. Next week most of us will be having holidays (just as I had this week, while still cleaning out the last bits and pieces in the development queue.) As such we won't be able to answer a lot of questions and will continue on new development starting early next year with some funded development in our development pipeline. I wish everyone a merry Christmas and Happy New Year and hope we can grow the Bareos business to some new highs next year so we can create a sustainable future for our open source backup solution. We also hope to see as many people as possible at FOSDEM (http://www.fosdem.org) which we will attend with around 6 people from the core development team.
