Hi,

Newbie here. I've a single tape slot.

How do I auto-label a new blank tape to be the next volume in pool = XYZ ?

The command "label" doesn't appear to accept a pool argument, or does it?

>From documentation:
label storage=<storage−name> volume=<volume−name> slot=<slot>

Yet, I see this example:
label storage=xxx pool=yyy slots=1−5,10 barcodes

What gives?

Would "label storage=Tape pool=XYZ" in bconsole do the trick?

#sd.conf
Device {
 Name = Quantum
 Media Type = LTO-7
 Archive Device = /dev/nst0
 Always Open = yes
 Label Media = yes
}

#dir.conf
Pool {
  Name = XYZ
  Pool Type = Backup
  Storage = Tape
  Label Format = "XYZ-"
  Recycle = no
}
