I'm kind of newbie.

I see bareos example "backupCatalog" job.

They bundle /etc/bareos/* and dump.sql into a fileset and let bareos back-it-up
to a volume somewhere. I assume on an external host.

Is this standard practice?

It seem counter-intuitive to backup your backups with your backup software.
Wouldn't you store them in a different format?

What do you do with your bootstraps and dumps?
