I am aware of that Wikipedia article, and it merely listed a father 
and son, both with the first name of Pierre.

Rolf Lislevand , on :a Belle Homicie, performs one piece, a sarabande 
in C, by Nicolas Dubut (1638-ca. 1692).  Those birth and death dates 
[both Pierre Dubut's] do not match the birth and death dates of Nicolas Dubut.

So, were there three Dubut lutenists?
