Dear Ed
I have done this job on almost 100 or di on old lute paintings and I never saw
this way to fit the bass strings on the bridge
By the way : if it was an historical option why the strings were sold in three
sorts ? Treble , meanes and basses ? Treble and Menes should me sufficient
The second question. Is : is not easier to drill larger holes ??
On the old paintings till today almost i just see the usual way to fit the
strings, nothing of different
