Hello all, My findings from today are:
When doing the attribute probes (command 5, response 6) I get responses only for 3 settings, the object number is irrelivent for the responses that are returned, although that is interesting is that the typical device information attribute doesn't get returned in any of the 3 settings. this says to me that the attribute command may be sequenced based as much as it is object/attribute based. Otherwise we may just have to send multiple different handshake commands as is done in the windows tool: Attribute Packet X, 3: Unknown Information (Suspect Device Identify information) 0000 0A 00 04 00 B8 01 00 00 01 17 02 05 03 0D 00 84 ................ 0010 52 49 4D 20 RIM Attribute Packet X, 4: Platform Information 0024 - Platform Upgraded Date (str, 11 bytes) 0030 - Platform Upgraded Time (str, 8 bytes) 003C - Device Series Description (str, 64 bytes) 0080 - Platform Version (4 x int8 in reverse order) 013C - Platform Version (str) 0000 0F 00 03 00 9C 01 00 00 00 00 06 80 C4 B1 59 80 ..............Y. 0010 54 80 57 A0 53 43 4D 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 T.W.SCM......... 0020 00 00 00 00 41 75 67 20 32 30 20 32 30 30 37 00 ....Aug 20 2007. 0030 31 33 3A 35 37 3A 34 39 00 00 00 00 52 49 4D 20 13:57:49....RIM 0040 38 31 30 30 20 53 65 72 69 65 73 20 43 6F 6C 6F 8100 Series Colo 0050 75 72 20 47 50 52 53 20 48 61 6E 64 68 65 6C 64 ur GPRS Handheld 0060 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0070 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 0D 00 84 ................ 0080 53 00 03 02 00 FF 05 18 8C 3B 36 80 00 00 00 00 S........;6..... 0090 F8 F7 32 80 D8 0B 33 80 00 01 FF FF 93 E1 D0 C3 ..2...3......... 00A0 EC 00 00 00 14 00 00 00 68 CC 30 80 FF FF FF FF ........h.0..... 00B0 3C 01 00 00 20 00 00 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 <... ........... 00C0 E0 1E 30 80 04 00 02 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 46 00 ..0...........F. 00D0 A0 0D 33 80 04 12 00 05 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ..3............. 00E0 A8 38 4B 80 5C 01 00 00 40 00 00 00 01 01 03 FF [EMAIL PROTECTED] 00F0 04 01 00 FF 02 01 C5 FF 03 01 00 02 07 01 12 FF ................ 0100 FF 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0110 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0120 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0130 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 32 2E 33 2E ............2.3. 0140 30 2E 38 33 00 49 4E 3D 52 49 03 00 12 00 F7 01 0.83.IN=RI...... 0150 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 46 00 ..............F. 0160 01 00 01 00 04 00 02 00 03 00 01 00 04 12 00 05 ................ 0170 04 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 02 00 00 00 06 01 00 00 ................ 0180 05 00 05 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0190 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 FF FF FF FF ................ 01A0 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF ................ 01B0 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF ........ I suspect that the attribute in question is the physical phone attribute.
