I have an AT&T blackberry 8703e. I'm running ubuntu 8.10 and downloaded the barry-util through a launchpad.net ppa.
I run the pppd connect script and it restarts my phone. I do have a password on the phone. Barrybackup prompted and validated the password just fine.
