That's a lot of nice code there... I definitely want it in Barry.

One issue I saw, though... is there a significant reason why you
went with the expat XML library instead of libxml2?  And the
corresponding libxml++?

The reason I'm concerned is that libxml2 is already a requirement
for anyone using opensync, and the Barry opensync plugins, so it's
a dependency we already have.  I'd rather use that then introduce
a new dependency, and potentially require two different XML parsers
for Barry.
