Just a reminder to the distro maintainers.  This version introduces
a new versioning scheme, and the libraries are now using "17" as
the major number.

I know that Debian in particular does not have Barry in the stable
release, and I'm assuming that this is one of the reasons, since
previous versions of Barry did not maintain a ABI/API / version
system.

If there are any other impediments to packaging Barry, please let me know.
