Hi,
   I have tested my application with the desktop application provided by RIM, 
it works very well. I get the same error with USBDemo application provided by 
RIM when run on Linux.

That's quite odd that it's not even getting as far as connecting.

Can you connect to your application when using the COM interface 
provided by BlackBerry desktop manager on a windows machine? If you 
replace your application with the USBDemo from RIM then does it still 
get the same error?
