Short term however:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975990

   1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
   2. Locate and then click the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/MSExchangeIS/ParametersPrivate

If the ParametersPrivate registry subkey does not exist, follow these
steps:
         1. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key.
         2. Type ParametersPrivate, and then press ENTER.
   3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
   4. Type Disable All Duplicate Detection, and then press ENTER.
   5. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
   6. Type 1, and then click OK.
   7. Locate and then click the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/MSExchangeIS/ParametersPublic

If the ParametersPublic registry subkey does not exist, follow these
steps:
         1. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key.
         2. Type ParametersPublic, and then press ENTER.
   8.
   9. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  10. Type Disable All Duplicate Detection, and then press ENTER.
  11. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
  12. Type 1, and then click OK.
  13. Exit Registry Editor.

It's not really recommended however.

Hi Andrew,

not necessary to replace the message id. If you could just remove the original
one, the MTA should do the job and add a new one.

Roland
