I just succesfully completed the migration from 1.1.0 to 1.1.1 on Debian Squeeze, by using the install packages. Originally it gave me some errors running the update scripts, which was caused by the missing django-south module. After running
#apt-get install python-django-south the update process went smooth. Please consider including django-south in the deb install package. Regards, Paul
