Hi,
I have been trying to install baruwa 1.1.2 on a Fedora 17 box and have been
running into problems. Initially, I installed using the "easy-install"
method, but for some reason my celeryd seemed only to run with the broker
URL ...guest@localhost... whereas looking at a friend's installation, the
URL was ...baruwa@localhost...

So I decided to follow his method and install from the Fedora repository.
First I uninstalled baruwa by running

and removing file files/directories manually

I them removed rabbitMQ and mysql with

I then ran
to clean things up

after installing as follows

I continued with the instructions as per
http://packages.python.org/baruwa/install_fedora.html
<http://packages.python.org/baruwa/install_fedora.html>

but when I get to the */baruwa-admin syncdb -- noinput/* step, I get the
following output

which is really strange because there are no tables in the baruwa database

So I am baffled now. I am quite happy to clean up and start again with the
possible exception of rebuilding the server from scratch so any tips would
be welcome on how to debug this or clean things up.

I am sure that the issue is somehow related to the previous failed install
(which might have been 1.1.2), but the error is misleading

Once other point that I have just noticed is that both my friend's working
installation and mine are running on Fedora 17, but his (working) baruwa was
installed from a FC15 repository

whereas mine was from FC16

Thanks in advance
Chris

PS - despite my obvious bewilderment here, I am extremely familiar with
Unix/Linux, just lacking the python/baruwa skills to debug this efficiently
myself (I'm a Perl person)
