[Baruwa] best method to ignore MX records

I just set up another scanner using the howtoforge tutorial. Ultimately, 
I am working on setting up a single web interface for all users to view 
and release messages from several scanners. The new scanner (baruwa 
1.1.2) is using MX record lookups because I am not able to enter an IP 
address in the domain settings. I don't really want to create a 
transport map in postfix and wonder if there is a way to edit 
mysql-transports.cf, so I can use IP addresses instead of domains, or 
use some other method for the scanner to ignore mx records
