I had to do some links on my 9.1 FreeBSD to have it work: # ln -s /usr/local/libdata/cracklib/pw_dict.pwd /usr/local/libdata/cracklib.pwd # ln -s /usr/local/libdata/cracklib/pw_dict.pwi /usr/local/libdata/cracklib.pwi # ln -s /usr/local/libdata/cracklib/pw_dict.hwm /usr/local/libdata/cracklib.hwm
