Do I need to run that then try to start it?

apt-get can be either 1 or 2, depending on which repo you add. I have been
developing an installer for cent 6, i have not had time to convert it over to
ubuntu yet. I just started on it this past week. I'm trying to finish it, then
i will code the ubuntu installer.

as far as your error, make user the directory exists.

Because the postfix hooks have not been developed. Andrew prefer's Exim, and i
just don't think he has had time to build postfix support into 2.0.
Exim is the only MTA currently supported in 2.0.
