Is that the setting that talks about splitting the files up? I selected
no when I reconfigured exim. I reran Jeremy's exim portion of the
install script after that. How would I get back to a monolithic config??

You have an incorrect configuration you are using the split configuration
provided by
debian/ubuntu. please use the monolithic configuration a sample of which is
provided
you just need to clean it up as its for centos.
