Hi Jeremy,
To provide you feedback on your CentOS version 1.2 build. We found a few problems with the script, although these were very easily overcome without much effort. It's a good script and allowed us to install Baruwa 2.0 on CentOS 6.3 in a matter of a couple of days (we can now perform in about 45 minutes from scratch). As there's no Baruwa 2.0 demo, your script allowed us to review the Baruwa product and decide to buy it. Just waiting for funds transfer to Paypal. What we haven't been happy with is the "vendor support" (read: none), as we haven't received not even one reply from [email protected] nor Andrew's direct email, although we've attempted contact multiple times, no demo, no answers to questions, we were moving on up until finding your script as a reference on the twitter feed. You've basically won a new customer for the vendor. To outline and summarise the script problems we encountered: * the auto-enabling of the CentALT repository with a base CentOS 6.3 build. You simply can't install the packages from that large "yum install" line you have in it. You need to disable CentALT (and EPEL) by default and only enable them when needed, one at at time if necessary with the --enablerepo=CentALT and --enablerepo=epel options. * not adding clamav (or clam depending on the repo ClamAV comes from) to the apache, mail or baruwa groups. ClamAV doesn't have a chance of reading files to be scanned in the exim.in directory. * installing of packages not present in script including exim-pgsql, antiword, etc. Without these packages you can't run baruwa 2.0. The script should also support the creation of a "child" server or "scanning node", so that once you've created the main Baruwa server, you can run the script again on another server but use the DB on the main Baruwa server. We couldn't find any documentation on how to add "another scanning node" in a Baruwa 2.0 cluster, not on the baruwa site or through web searches.
