You don't need to have either to get solid master-master replication working... 
Just use the native replication... here's a nice guide:

FYI -- I'd suggest keeping 'binlog_format = mixed' when configuring... I had it 
set as 'row' for a while, but SQLgrey doesn't like that very much. 

You *will* want some solid monitoring for the slave status of each server [if 
using master-master]. I use check_mk agents on both alongside the mysql_status 
plugin 
(http://exchange.check-mk.org/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=59&func=fileinfo&id=57)...
 

I use Percona, but only for hot mysql backups... to keep them revolving, I use 
log rotate with innobackupex-1.5.1.

Is there a certain objective you need to accomplish with tungsten or percona?
