#1 reason = no unforeseen problems. #2 reason = separate environments = no unforeseen problems. #3 reason = no problems people cannot help you with because they don't have a similar setup to you #4 reason = your setup becomes the same as thousands of other people = no unforeseen problems There too many good reasons to separate environments and at the end of the day, you waste a lot of time of dealing with problems that you shouldn't have if you just had separate environments for everything. These days you just virutalise everything to do that, setup, configure and move on with your life. The time you spend working things out because your setup is specific and difficult to support can be used to better enhance things or just take time off.
