Pretty much the open source edition is a dead project, the open source version has lots of issues and lacks support
If you are going to use it in production, save yourself the hassle and get the commercial edition or hosted edition. At least you know it will work and you arnt going to have show stopping issues when a package updates. Other option as mailborder, also not free.
