You can use the "Manual transform" plug-in to link externally generated files with different analysis steps. This will not import any data, and there is currently no generic plug-in for importing analyzed data. In any case, putting M values into the database would probably confuse BASE, since it is expected that the database contains intensity values. Externally generated data can be imported if the file is a BASEfile. This is an internal format used for transferring data to and from plug-ins. It is not a very complex format, but it has some quirks. Other users say that the BASEfile format is not very R-friendly, though I don't know exactly what that means. The best way to check this out is to use the "BASEfile exporter" plug-in with some existing data. > My second question is : can we store other type of results in base "as > file" ? > With R, we generated GFF files (for nimblegen tilling arrays), heatmaps, > lists of genes, dendogrammes, and it would be interesting to make them > available as the raw datas using Base. Yes, but not as raw data. The "Manual transform" plug-in can attach as many files as you want to in each analysis step. If you don't see the "Manual transform" plug-in it is probably because it needs to be configured first. Go to Administrate -> Plugins -> Definitions, find the plug-in and create a new configuration. /Nicklas ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Join us December 9, 2009 for the Red Hat Virtual Experience, a free event focused on virtualization and cloud computing.
