[tall] Kevin reviewed his Westercon travels as fascinating

Bill reviewed his travels as Carole was a mosquito entre' & that it was
worth mostly full price to visit relatives, even though they had to miss
Westercon

2015 issue as she was delighted by it

Brad reviewed the SFRA conference as 'these grad students are getting
younger and younger' & reviewed a visit to Metropolis Comics as it is by
appointment only & reviewed Westercon as his hotel was terrible, but his
panels went well & he enjoyed the con & bought stuff from Dave

Westercon was also reviewed by JC, Lisa, both Daves, [tall] Kevin, Big
Harold & there was an agreement that the convention was mostly good, panels
were very good, Dealers Room was sporadic, Registration had problems and
the hotel was -terrible-

Beth reviewed Andy Weir's book 'The Martian' as very good

John O reviewed 'Minions' as not much plot or characterization, but very
silly & worth full price for 2D & reviewed Scalzi's 'Locked In' as he
enjoyed it, recommends it, but doesn't think it will be a Hugo nominee for
him next year

Lisa reviewed Disneyland as the new electric parade is gorgeous, they
missed the Muppet singalong that has been replaced with a 'Frozen' show &
she had a good time; Tall Harold praised the Scooter folk; Dave C also went
& thinks the electric parade needs more floats & the fireworks display was
loud

Dave G reviewed Convergence as a fun little con

We did auctions

we adjourned at 9:33

and the rumor of the week was: 'Learning Welsh is much harder than
learning Klingon'
