Began 8:02 pm, with Tingle talk 28 people attended we established a party jar The minutes of meeting 1364 were accepted as 'none of it said it wasn't a movie' The Treasurer reported that last week we took in $5.50 in the regular jar & $24.75 in the party jar The Vice President reported was not here The President greeted Colette Sozard - deputy Hugo admin for next year, who wanted to see the BASFA 'voting block' & also greeted Brent Smart, he of the very nice business card, also visiting us for the first time The Sports Committee reported that it was not yet ready Announcements: John O announced that the Kepler's Books mailing list sends out many, many announcements and recommends visiting their website; he also announced that there is a new California law that requires certificates of authenticity be kept by memorabilia dealers for 7 kriffing years if it sells for more than $5 - but that online sales are exempt Dave G announced that Finn Air starts non-stop service to Finland from SF, starting in June [3 days a week] [evil] Kevin announced that Convolution will be in Burlingame & that Friday night will see a CostumeCon party hosted by Radar & a Worldcon 76 party will happen on Saturday Adrienne announced that Bay Area Ghost Hunters will have a fantable at Convolution & she announced that she has 2 tickets for Giant's fan appreciation day for Sunday Andy announced that Gamer X will be in conflict with a 49er's game on Sunday & recommends avoiding the hotel & that light rail will cost $20 that day JC announced that Nerdvana Podcast is 'still spewing' podcasts & another comes out Friday & they will be podcasting at Convolution Podcast on Saturday & announced that he does graphic design & photography & that he is looking for new clients for Blue Mirage Harold announced that he is looking for recommendations for someone who repairs chimneys Chris O announced that 'Addams Family' is being done by Stage One Theatre in Newark, October 1-16 Reviews: Dave G reviewed Fencon in Dallas as a nice little convention & worth attending at full price & he enjoyed the BBQ he has while in Texas John O reviewed a Kepler Books event [the script release of the 'Welcome to Nightvale'] as he enjoyed it Chris O reviewed the 'Pete's Dragon' remake as it made them cry we did auctions we adjourned at 9:30 pm and the rumor of the week was: 'If you turn the debate into a drinking game YOU WILL DIE' -- ******************* She/whispered/'Oh/my/goodness/what/are/all/these/squirrels/doing/here?' melc...@gmail.com *******************
