Emma is a beautiful Belle. 95% of the animated version, 5% actor interpretation. Likes it's enhancement, and little explanations. The gay moments are innocuous & fun. 3-D, Be Our Guest number was really nice, as is the snow. Full Price. Harold: Lille boy playing Chip. Really cute. Mo: Loved the original Disney, but remember there is a French film by Jean Cocteau - La Belle et La Bete. Beth: Likes Emma as a strong independent heroine, but seemed to be flat. Saw XD 3D. Missed be our guest scene because she fell asleep (10:30pm). Will need to see it again. JC: Saw Logan. Outcome was expected, didn't make it bad. Best Wolverine film yet. Liked Stephen Merchant in the film as a departure. Film was dark, and a bit of a downer (not a bad thing). It broke Beth. Worth full price. Great to see Wolverine with the R-rated blood. Beth: Went to 7:30 show of an R rated film with a 3-year old - who let out an expletive at one point. Was an emotional mess at the end. Ric: Interesting in the Comic Books. The Logan we know is dead, but is timely-Wiley back as an old man, with the girl as a clone of Wolverine. The movie picks and chooses from the source to good effect. Fred: Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality, by Eliezer Yudkowsky. Fan-Fic. Quality fluctuates, but recommends it for the the intersection of rationality and the Potterverse. Some items were auctioned off. The meeting adjourned at: 21:11 And the rumor of the week was: One Cat, Two Cat, Red Cat, Blue Cat.
