Called to order at 8 pm 25 people attended we established a party jar The minutes of meeting 1427 were accepted as 'nominate Fred' the Treasurer reported that at meeting 1427 we took in $22.00 in the regular jar & $16.00 in the party jar the VP had nothing fannish to report the President said 'hi' to Kae Lunoe, visiting us for the 1st time & said that he & the secretary will not be at meeting 1430 the Sports Committee that the 3rd Friday in May Giants game - May 18, their 1st Star Wars night vs the Rockies - looks promising, tickets are $30 and would include the SW premium; there was interest ANNOUNCEMENTS: Ken announced that Dec 19 is a Fathom event for the Meshuga Nutcracker [they will be at the 7pm Oakridge showing] & announced that the Legion of Rasselon meets THIS month on Dec 29 at the Dennie's on Bascom at the Prunyard at 7:30pm & showing the Dr Who Xmas special & announced that there will be showings of the Dr Who Xmas special as a Fathom event on Dec 27 & 28 AND announced that the SF Symphony has tickets for their performances of music from the 1st 3 Star Wars films [evil] Kevin announced that there are 13 more days to get a Worldcon 76 membership so that you can niminate for the Hugo awards Diane announced that there are a lot of conventions coming up Adrienne announced that the next SMOFcon in Santa Rosa [November 30 thru December 2] is $50 until 2018 REVIEWS: Ric reviewed 'The Paper Magician' by Charlie Holmberg as a YA romance & part of a trilogy as he liked the magic system but the rest didn't grab him 'Last Jedi' was reviewed positively Lisa reviewed 'Christmas in the Park' as they really enjoyed it & there was a Flying Spegetti Monster; Alex found the parking to be horrendous Dave C reviewed the new 'Bladerunner' movie as he deeply regrets seeing it, well made but so depressing that it drained the life out of him [M.Siladi agreed], then Dave reviewed 'Happy!' on TV as strange and insane and he likes it Adrienne reviewed the latest season of 'Doc Marten' as she enjoyed it & loved the cinematography Brad reviewed the Department of the Interior as pleasantly efficient Diana reviewed her one day at the Heroes and Villains media con as she enjoyed herself and may go next year there were auctions Adjourned 9:35 And the rumor of the week = 'More Fred, less filling' -- ******************* She/whispered/'Oh/my/goodness/what/are/all/these/squirrels/doing/here?' melc...@gmail.com *******************
