At the behest of 'Bashing Management' would everyone please email me a
self-evaluation on how you think you have played this seasonand how you plan
to contribute moving forward? I'm not looking for anything longer than one
or two paragraphs, preferably one. It is assumed that you are going
through your weekly workouts and conditioning, so no need to mention that.
Focus more on what you have well and what needs improvement. Also
describe what you think your on field role should be. Again, don't send me a
book. I still have a week or so off and I don't want to be grading papers
all week.

In terms of this past weekend there were some positive strides taken. We had
a much better sideline presence starting in the second half of the Germ
Circus
that carried through to Sunday. As a result we were focused from that point
until the second half of our last game. We'll chalk that up to two days and
8 games
in the heat. Our offense was better especially when we transitioned from
defense to offense. The zone seemed like it was starting to come together as
well. Lastly, we had
fewer end zone turnovers. We even used some play calls off of stoppages. We
might even add another play from the vert stack. We'll see.

The area that needs to be improved is our end zone formation. Too many cuts
were coming from the front of the stack and to compound that, we had several
cuts coming
from the front simultaneously. We'll definitely be working on that this
weekend. We also need to continue to focus on holding the open side on
defense as well as holding our
marks.

The energy that we played with in the second half of the weekend was really
great. We have to sustain that effort over the next two months. It starts
with Saturday's
practice. If we're going to be serious contenders then we have to put
ultimate ahead of other things. That means people need to be taking care of
themselves. That means not staying out all night drinking the night before
practices or tournaments from this point on. You owe it to your teammates to
make that sacrifice.
