Subject: Idea for BasKet Notes
To: kel...@ieee.org

Hi,

I've been looking for a Linux replacement for Evernote.

BasKet Notes looks to be the closest, but is lacking in one critical feature
that keeps me from really using BasKet.

With Evernote, I loved its ability to simply paste in text with embedded
hyperlinks and also simply paste in images. EN even had a convenient
"webclipper" that after you selected the text and/or image(s) you wanted,
you just click their webclipper button and it would automatically save it
all.

It looks like with BasKet, you have to manually insert hyperlinks into text
and manually insert images.

The only Linux apps I'm aware of that you can simply paste in hyperlinked
text and images is big word apps, like OpenOffice Word. I couldn't find any
Linux note-taking apps that can do this.

I think if BasKet had this ability, it would be one of the top apps for
Linux, since I see so many Linuxers longing for a good Evernote and Onenote
alternative with the ability to paste in hyperlinked text and paste in
images.

How difficult do you think this idea would be to implement it in BasKet and
do you think it's a good idea?

Sincerely,
Craig
